Students today spend more time browsing the Internet and engaging in various online activities, such as MSN, facebook, blog, etc. Do you agree that these online activities can do more good than harm to them?
Online activities have been popular among students. They are commonly used to relax or chat with friends. Now, as a student I would like to argue that the online facilities, such as Facebook, MSN and Blog provide us the tools to share our opinions data and information.
Firstly, I would like to talk about Facebook. Facebook hleps us get and share ideas. For example, we know what’s going on with our friends. We may also upload our photos or videos to share with our friends. We can keep in touch with people. On the other hand, games in Facebook are very beneficial, such as Restaurant City because the virtual Restaurant City can help us learn how to earn money with a restaurant.
Secondly, I would like to talk about MSN. The full name of MSN is Window Live Messenger. That means we may use MSN to chat with our friends on “Window”. We can use MSN to contact our friends via computer keyboard, video camera and microphone. We can also use MSN to chat with our friends while seeing and listening to them. Also, if your friends go to other countries to study or live, we may use MSN to contact him or her without spending money on phone.
Finally, I would like to talk about blog. Blog is an online diary. We can post our messages, photos and videos to groups of friends. Also we can use blog for teaching and learning. If someone visits your blog, s/he will get something from your blog.
Although the internet activities will take our time unknowingly, we can set a timer to limit ourselves to an hour or two. As the internet activities are getting more and more common now, students will get more harm if they are not allowed to engage in the online activities.
